Ayurveda has been called the sister science of yoga, and the Sanskrit translation is the knowledge of life.  With a deep understanding of the 5 elements expressing throughout nature, we learn about our own nature, through our individual constitutions and how we relate to our environment to achieve more balance in our lives.   

Stemming from the understanding that disease is due to an imbalance or stress in a person's consciousness, Ayurveda encourages natural therapies to restore a healthy balance between the body, mind, and spirit.  Attention to nutrition through a special diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga and meditation, are all parts of a purification process called panchakarma.
